Tracie McMillan has covered America’s multiracial working class as a journalist with publications ranging from the New York Times to Mother Jones, National Geographic to the Village Voice. She is the award-winning author of the New York Times bestseller, The American Way of Eating, and The White Bonus: Five Families and the Cash Value of Racism in America. A onetime target of Rush Limbaugh, McMillan currently oversees coverage of worker organizing for Capital & Main.
A graduate of New York University, Tracie grew up on a dirt road outside Flint, Michigan. She splits her time between Brooklyn, NY and Detroit, MI.

A lifelong Detroiter, Orlando P. Bailey learned how to practice community development in the neighborhood where he was born.
Passionate about shifting the narrative of Black cities & neighborhoods, Bailey is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and Executive Director of Outlier Media. He is the former Engagement Director for BridgeDetroit, co-host of the podcast Authentically Detroit, and host of Urban Consulate. Previously, he served as Chief Development Officer for the Eastside Community Network.
