Come join us at the MN Landscape Arboretum Horticultural Research Center to help get the apple and pumpkin fields ready for fall!About this Event
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a Twin Cities community treasure! Join us at the Horticultural Research Center, located just a mile from the Arboretum's main campus, for a hands-on summer field maintenance event!
We'll spend the afternoon helping out in the pumpkin patch and apple fields weeding and cleaning to get them ready for the fall.
Location: Horticultural Research Center (less than a mile from the Arboretum's main campus). Please enter the driveway at the Apple House.
We recommend bringing the following to the event:
- Any snack you might want
- Sunscreen or rain gear
- Dress in layers and be prepared to work outdoors
- Waterproof footwear or shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Work gloves
- Knee pad
- Bug spray
- More and more, we recommend a tick repellent
- For folks who wear contacts, protective eyewear is suggested. Even the tiniest piece of dirt or dust can feel very uncomfortable.
- Please note the mask mandate has been lifted at the Arboretum, but please feel comfortable wearing a mask if that is your preference.
