Authentic Relating practices create a safe, intentional space - rooted in play and supported by clear boundaries - to create meaningful and enjoyable connections to self and other. By learning Authentic Relating skills, you can drop your conditioned relational habits, and learn to relate with yourself and others from a deeper more authentic expression of your truth. This allows us to be more human with one another, in ways that often fall by the wayside in today's social norms. The result is a life full of fulfilling and meaningful relationships. The 1st 20-30 minutes is going over some theory and foundation of Authentic Relating. The rest of the time is for AR games and group shares.Here's some professional AR teachers give their general synopsis of the practice. The parent youtube channel is a great resource for previewing the kinds of games we'll be playing as well.
What is Authentic Relating;
Disclaimer; while we are creating a space for connection to happen we are neither trained therapists nor are we encouraging therapy to happen during these classes. Many of the relating games are by design trying to challenge assumptions, implicit bias, internal narratives and others aspects that can bring up strong emotions. Before each class, we will go over the general principles of AR. Here is a PDF for your preview if you wish; https://authenticrelating.co/.../The-Five-Practices-%E2...
If you would like to attend other similarly minded events, you're welcome to peruse what I am currently offering or add your interest to a forming class.
