Ali is back with some crazy fun for everyone! During five weeks, we will learn the classic jazz routine "The Big Apple" with Cats' Corner! The Big Apple routine is danced and performed by swing dancers all over the world, and has a little peculiar history. The canonical version we all dance originates from the movie "Keep Punchin'" from 1939, as choreographed by Savoy ballroom and Whitey's Lindy Hoppers legend Frankie Manning. Let's learn it, do it, spread it, and keep this crazy fun tradition alive in our community!
The Big Apple is a big 'ole messy jazz routine; this course is best suited to dancers with at least some prior experience with solo jazz and the most common jazz steps. Complete beginners may find it challenging, but are of course also welcome - it's super fun!

Cats' Corner is a non-profit dance organisation from Malmö. Our main focus is Lindy Hop, but we gladly also dance Charleston, Balboa, Shag, Blues, Authentic Jazz and other Swing dances.
