Step into the newest epicenter of Detroit’s underground.
When we say "Authentic Detroit," we mean the raw, unfiltered energy that can only be found in a room where the history is respected and the future is being built. Cannons has already become a landmark, hosting the pioneers of the genre—Juan Atkins and Derrick May. On Friday, March 6th, the legacy continues as we take over the upper floor for a high-velocity live session.
What to Expect at the Session:
- A Masterclass in Live Electronics: Forget the "press play" DJ set. Tony Nova performs LIVE, bringing a hardware-heavy rig to the booth. Expect an evolving soundscape of soul-drenched House and driving Detroit Techno that responds to the energy of the room in real-time.
- The Power of the Drum: To elevate the experience, Dr. Tingle Fingers joins the session with live percussive accompaniment. The synergy between electronic sequences and organic rhythm creates a physical, high-energy atmosphere that you won’t find at a standard club night.
- Curated Deep Vibes: The night begins with JeffreyNothing, who is tasked with setting the foundation. Expect deep, sophisticated selections that prime the floor for the live performance to follow.
- The Space: Cannons offers an intimate, focused environment. The upper floor is designed for those who come for the music first. It’s dark, it’s loud, and it’s pure.
- Community First: We are keeping this event Free (No Cover). This is a gift to the Detroit dance community and the heads who have kept this culture alive for decades.
