The Australian Wooden Boat Festival is the largest celebration of wooden boats and maritime culture in the Southern Hemisphere and Tasmania’s biggest FREE festival. Held every two years in Hobart for over 30 years, the festival spans four exciting days, featuring a vibrant mix of on-water displays, cruises, expert talks, hands-on workshops, cooking demonstrations, exhibitions, theatre, films, live music, and Tasmania's finest local food and drink. It’s a truly family-friendly event offering something for everyone.
In 2025, the festival will explore "The Pacific" as its central theme, bringing a rich array of content from New Zealand, Japan, the US West Coast, Tahiti, New Caledonia, the Marshall Islands, Hawaii, Samoa, and Niue.
