**New Date Scheduled**The Australasian Rescue Organisation (ARO) is proud to host the first Australasian Rescue Boat Challenge in Sydney on 17-18 October 2025 at Penrith Whitewater Stadium in Sydney.
This dedicated on water challenge, aimed at flood and swift water rescue boat operations within Australasia will place rescue crews and their boats in fast flowing water whilst conducting rescues.
ARO welcomes the region's best water rescue operators to participate in this inaugural on water challenge featuring multiple scenarios of varying complexities located throughout the precinct.
This unique event builds on from the successful inaugural Australasian Water Rescue Challenge held last year, which saw teams from across the country converge in Sydney to test their skills and expertise in swift water rescue scenarios via a challenge format.
This is a fantastic opportunity for operators to participate in the only water rescue event of its kind in the region to hone and test skills, build on their water rescue experience and, of course, catch up with old friends and make some new ones within the industry.
All emergency service agencies and organisations that provide water rescue capabilities, including on water, in water and over water, are encouraged to nominate to attend.
ARO is the peak industry body in Australasia for the development and exchange of information, knowledge, and skills in rescue; and its members include emergency service agencies, industry professionals, service providers and suppliers.
ARO has recognised, best-in-class, accredited assessors, scenario setters and management teams recognised by the World Rescue Organisation, and are the recognised providers of teams for World Rescue Challenge.
Challenge teams may comprise of a single agency or a composite team made up of one or more agencies. All participants must hold current on water operator agency accreditation and be a current member of ARO.
