Austin, Texas - Easter Weekend History & Culture Trip: Good Friday, March 29 - Easter Sunday, March 31 (Save the Date). Meet People & Have Fun!


You are invited to come join Robert & Michele in Austin, Texas for a history and culture group trip on Easter weekend: Good Friday, March 29 - Easter Sunday, March 31.

Austin is the capital of Texas, the home of the University of Texas (Hook 'Em Horns!) one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., and “the live music capital of the world”.

During late March in Austin the average high temperature is 76 degrees and the average low temperature is 54 degrees.

All are welcome to attend.

Our weekend will be attended by both guests from out-of-town, and locals from our Austin, Texas History & Culture Meetup group:

We’ll also have a pre-trip Austin, Texas Travel Talk Livestream over Zoom on a to-be-determined date in early March.


Itinerary - Tentative (Subject to Change):

· Downtown Austin Guided Tour and Sunset Bat Watching (FREE) with Optional Dinner After - Friday evening, March 29

· Ladybird Lake Morning Walk (FREE) with Optional Lunch After - Saturday morning, March 30

· Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Museum or Bullock Texas State History Museum - Saturday early afternoon, March 30

· Texas State Capitol Guided Tour (FREE) with Optional Dinner After - Saturday later afternoon, March 30

· Sixth Street Live Music - Saturday evening, March 30?

· To-Be-Determined - Sunday, March 31


Additional Details

This is a “buffet-style” trip where participants can attend any or all of the programs offered.

Additional details to follow once we get closer to the trip date.

Guests will be responsible for their own travel and lodging plans (we’re only hosting the above programs) and travel at their own risk.
