Austin Poetry Slam Presents The Love/Fcuk Love Slam

Whether you’re currently struck by Cupid’s arrow or you’re ready to snap that bow in half, this is the stage for you. Join us at the Barrel O’ Fun for a night dedicated to the most chaotic human emotion: Love. From the butterflies and "good morning" texts to the ghosting and heartbreak, we want to hear it all. Hosted by the incomparable Mr. Dave, this slam challenges poets to dig deep into their romantic (or cynical) souls.

To keep things spicy, we’re adding a twist to the scoreboard:

• The Theme: All first-round poems must be about Love or Anti-Love.
• The Bonus: Every poem that stays on theme earns an additional point from the judges. In a slam, that single point can be the difference between a win and a "better luck next time."

• When: Wednesday, February 11, 2026
• Where: Barrel O’ Fun (Alamo Drafthouse Mueller) | 1911 Aldrich St. Austin, TX 78723
• Doors: 7:00 PM
• Showtime: 8:00 PM-ish. We define "8:00 PM" as a fluid, metaphysical suggestion rather than a strict boundary. We’re poets; time is just a concept we haven't found a good rhyme for yet.

Parking is validated! Keep your focus on the metaphors and not the meter—just remember to scan the QR code at the door upon arrival.
