We are back!!! After a long sleep, Austin Poetry Slam returns to The Native-this time at the Parlor! Bring a mask and enjoy the show!
Coming back a beastly as ever, Austin Poetry Slam is ready for the new world! Bring a mask, and please observe Social Distancing during the event. Doors open at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8:15pm.
Poets wishing to perform will need to sign up on site. List closes promptly at 8pm. No exceptions. No pre-sign ups.
Space is limited and seating is not reserved. If you arrive late and all seats are occupied, standing room may be available. Attendees are highly encouraged to register online for each live event. $15 admission at the door subject to availability. If all spots are reserved for the evening, please feel free to hang out at the Native Bar and join us in the Parlor the following week.
As most of you know, Austin Public Health has announced Stage 4 level COVID precautions to the City of Austin. To protect you, our crew, and your families masks will be required at all Austin Poetry Slam events until further notice REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS.
You may remove your mask if you choose if you are on the mic, when taking sip of your drink (and then pull it back up), and when outside. Please respect and observe this protocol. We know it's not convenient, but if we can't get our audience to mask up we will have to close back up again and we don't want to do that.
