Our guest speakers are Mariana Nuño Ruiz and Ian McEnroe, authors of “Dining with the Dead – A Feast for the Souls on Day of the Deadˮ cookbook.The Austin residents will discuss their great odyssey in Mexico researching and documenting the traditions and recipes associated with Day of the Dead, known as Dia de Muertos or Dia de los Muertos in Spanish.
Mariana will also share a few samples showcasing the nuances of herbs and aromatics using fresh and dry herbs and emphasizing the importance of using the right ingredients when cooking traditional Mexican dishes.
