We’re kicking off at 10:00 AM sharp!
We'll fly for the usual 2 hours—then wrap up. Hoping to see some new faces out there!

✅ What to Bring:
Fully charged batteries, controller, phone
SD cards (you’ll thank yourself later)
All necessary cables
A good attitude and curiosity!
⚠️ Note: Paid parking. Rates recently increased, so bring a credit card. Occasionally, the meters are bagged (which means free parking—woohoo!). Machines can be hit or miss, and the app sometimes struggles to locate the area.
🚨 Meet-Up Spot:
We fly from the parking lot just before the Polo Picnic Tables.
Look for the brick bathrooms on your right—we’re in the second parking lot on the right off Stratford Drive (coming from Barton Springs Rd).
👋 New to Flying? Nervous?
Just got your drone and unsure about the features? Come out and connect with other pilots—many of us have flown the same drones and are happy to help build your skills and confidence.
🧠 Basic Safety Rules:
Takeoffs & landings must happen outside the orange cones
Stay behind the cones while piloting
No flying over roads or non-participants
Watch out for other drones, pets, planes, and helicopters
(If you see/hear any aircraft, lower your altitude and notify others)
Dogs must be leashed and drone-friendly
Seasoned pilots: please speak up if you see unsafe or reckless behavior
👥 Organizers & Volunteers:
Carlos, John, and others will be around from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to answer questions and support newcomers.
🌦 Weather Notice:
If rain, storms, or high winds are in the forecast, we’ll cancel or reschedule to the next day. Check the comments for updates.

Bring drones, ground stations, windsocks, or just yourself
