Join us for a presentation on vintage dance cards that are part of the Casslar Collection. Marc is the founder of The Vintage Dance Society, which is dedicated to the reconstruction and preservation of the music and dances of the Victorian and Ragtime eras (circa 1840 to 1925), and his main purpose in forming the collection of cards was to better understand the development of dance protocols in the Victorian and Edwardian periods, as well as to track the introduction of particular dances to the American social scene. *On December 16th 1775 Jane Austen was born in Steventon Hampshire. 2025 marks 250 years since this remarkable author came into the world and SWPL will be hosting a variety of programs in her honor.
