We invite you to join us at the Square of Deep Grief at Blågårds Plads on January 27th, 2025 / 28th of Tevet 5785 at 16:30 for a commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz camp in 1945 and in memory of the many victims of the Holocaust. This day was inaugurated in 2005 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day by the UN, serving as a reminder of the horrors of genocide and the human obligation to prevent further genocides. In light of this, we would like to also dedicate this memorial to mourning the genocide happening in Gaza and the insistence on its immediate and irreversible end.
Never again is for everyone.
We ask those joining to please bring stones, candles, art, flowers or any other meaningful objects to leave at the square. There will be music, a short speaking program and the recitation of a few Jewish prayers relevant to the day.
More information to come.
