This evening will explore different ways of introspection: Themes such as physicality (in sound and people) and liminality (in perception and identity) play a central role. Both works hint at a possible vocality: In ‘Gesang der Töne’ by Caspar Johannes Walter it is latent, while in Timothy McCormack it is explored in its peripheral areas. Although the two compositions are based on different approaches, they share a search for new expressive possibilities.Programme
