Aure Ensemble: Sound Becoming - Concert + Sound Bath

Aure Ensemble brings a unique blend of human voices: part folk, part contemporary, part something entirely its own.
Pianodrome Bruntsfield’s resident amateur choir, Aure Ensemble presents Sound Becoming, their first ever concert + sound bath.
Expect an evening of resonance, stillness and movement, where music grows from the room itself and the boundary between performer and listener softens.
Across written works and improvised soundscapes, the night continues into a sense invigorating sound bath, inviting stillness, presence and embodied listening.

Mari's work bridges contemporary vocal artistry, Nordic folk influence, and embodied singing. With an MA in Pop Music and a BA in Musical Theatre, she has spent over a decade guiding singers toward authentic, effortless expression. Her background in Finnish choral traditions (12 years, four ensembles) shapes her approach to resonance, community, and shared sound. She currently works with Edinburgh‑based singers and the York‑based ensemble Enkelit.
