Three wise, loving, conscious women will hold a safe space for all to heal on this special day.
We will begin with a gentle Yoga practice lead by Renee Desjardins.
Yoga is a beautiful beginning to this healing journey. The practice of Yoga enhances muscular strength and flexibility, promote recovery from and treatment of addiction, reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, improve sleep patterns, and enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
We continue our journey with Renee leading TRE.
TRE or Trauma Release Exercises works by focusing on deep muscle memory. It uses seven core activities, including muscle stretches, to activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.
TRE is believed to release deep-rooted muscular tension and that it regulates the nervous system so that a state of relaxation and calm is obtained.
We continue with Ananya Maitri leading the breathwork.
With breathwork we create a sacred space within ourselves, where emotional storms can subside, and clarity and serenity can flourish Somatic breathwork is a therapeutic modality dedicated to illuminating the profound influence of our breath on our emotions and our emotions on our breath. It's a mind-body practice, emphasizing the connection between our physical sensations and emotional and mental states.
Cindy, Renee and Ananya will lead us through a beautiful healing sound meditation. This meditation allows for processing of the healing that has already occured.
Sound frequencies entrain brainwave patterns, guiding the mind into deep relaxation and meditation. An hourlong sound meditation reduces tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing a sense of spiritual well-being.
The sound meditation used a range of Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, Ting-shas (tiny cymbals), bells, and drums.
As we return from this lovely journey Cindy will serve us Cacao as we further process and integrate our experiences in a sacred circle.
Ceremonial Cacao can effectively modify the inflammatory process. Cacao monomer catechins and oligomeric procyanidins have a significant anti-inflammatory effect, inhibit neutrophil oxidative burst, and reduce the expression of adhesion molecules. Flavanol-rich cacao increases cerebral blood flow, which suggests cacao as a possible treatment for dementia, as well as other inflammatory conditions.

Ananya Maitri is a holder of sacred medicines and loving space holder. She has a BA in Psychology and studied Transformational Sound Healing with Peter Acari. More recently she has become certified as a Somatic Breathwork Coach using Elemental Rhythms to lead transformational breathwork experiences.
Renee Desjardins is a RN, with a BA in psychology. She travelled to India to learn and get certified in yoga and meditation. More recently she has taken Transformative Sound Healing with Peter Acari. Renee hosts retreats and events at her home in Beaver Lake.
