Het Binnenhof gesloten? De Kunst van het Binnenhof zet de deuren wijd open.
Deze unieke Augmented Reality Pop-up kunstexpositie in het Atrium Den Haag en de bijzondere boekuitgave, laten je de markante cultuurhistorie van het Binnenhof zien. Prachtige kunstwerken en verhalen uit alle tijden in een surrealistische setting. Ontdek het vanaf 4 september t/m 30 september in het Atrium Den Haag. De rijk geïllustreerde – twee in een – boekuitgave die in het najaar van 2022 uitkomt.

Wie zijn de Oude meesters uit vervlogen tijden? Veel minder bekende gezichten worden in tekst en met beeld geïntroduceerd. En welke Nieuwe helden droegen bij aan de modernisering van de schatkamers van het Binnenhof, die slechts weinigen ooit te zien kregen?
Met verzamelde werk van Oude Meesters over Jacoba van Beieren, Amalia van Solms-Braunfels, Johan de Witt, Maria Stuart I, Elselina van Houweningen en koning Willem II.
En met verzameld werk van Nieuwe Helden, zoals Auke de Vries, Eric Claus, Jos de Putter, Rudi van de Wint, Sylvie Zijlmans en Tomas Rajlich.
Augmented Reality (AR)
Deze expositie is de eerste Augmented Reality (AR) in het Atrium Den Haag. AR wordt in het Nederlands ook wel vertaald als toegevoegde realiteit. Er is sprake van AR als er digitaal een extra laag informatie over de werkelijkheid wordt gelegd. Dit kan door beelden op brillenglazen te projecteren, maar vaak wordt AR gewoon op een scherm getoond. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld op een smartphone of op een televisie.
De bezoekers van deze tentoonstelling downloaden bij een van de twee buitenste panelen in het Atrium de app en kunnen daarna de virtuele tentoonstelling bezoeken, die bestaat uit twee gedeeltes Oude Meesters en Nieuwe Helden. Ieder deel bestaat uit zes virtuele ruimtes waarin kunstwerken worden getoond nadat de bezoeker met de smartphone of tablet een speciale code op het bijbehorende tentoonstellingspaneel heeft gescand.
De app is verkrijgbaar via de Apple Store of de Google Play Store onder de naam 'De Kunst van Het Binnenhof'. We raden aan de app op een smartphone of tablet te installeren, voorafgaand aan de komst naar deze expositie. In de app is te kiezen tussen ‘Oude Meesters’ en ‘Nieuwe Helden’. Om de ‘Oude meesters’ te bekijken, scan de markeringen op de rode panelen in het Atrium Den Haag. De ‘Nieuwe Helden’ worden zichtbaar bij het scannen van de markeringen op de blauwe panelen. Het beste is om de app van tevoren te installeren via WIFI. In het Atrium Den Haag kan per 1 september 2022 gebruik worden gemaakt van het beveiligd wifi-netwerk Publicroam. De instructies van dit gratis WIFI netwerk staan op www.publicroam.nl.
Feestelijke maand september
De expositie opent tijdens het Haagse UIT Festival, is de hele maand september te zien en loopt bovendien parallel aan Open Monumentendag, Prinsjesdag, Prinsjesfestival en Koninklijk Den Haag.
Document voor een Monument
De productie is in handen van Document voor een Monument. Document voor een Monument haalt allerlei inzichten en ideeën op over het verleden, de gebruikers en de toekomst van het Binnenhof – in woord, beeld en geluid – en neemt die oogst, samen met een actuele beschrijving van de renovatie, mee in diverse multimediale ontsluitingen.
UIT Festival in het Atrium Den Haag
Deze unieke Augmented Reality (AR) Pop-up kunstexpositie is tijdens het UIT Festival in het Atrium Den Haag voor het eerst te ervaren. De inkijk in de markante cultuurhistorie van het Binnenhof wordt getoond van 4 t/m 30 september in het Atrium Den Haag. Prachtige kunstwerken en verhalen uit alle tijden in een surrealistische setting. Een gelijknamige en rijk geïllustreerde boekuitgave komt later in 2022 uit. Download bij binnenkomst wel eerst de app via mobiele telefoon of tablet.

The Binnenhof closed? The Art of the Binnenhof opens its doors wide.
This unique Augmented Reality Pop-up art exhibition and special book edition shows you the striking cultural history of the Binnenhof. Beautiful works of art and stories from all eras in a surrealistic setting. Discover it from September 4 until September 30 in the Atrium of the City Hall of The Hague. Also the richly illustrated - two-in-one - book edition will be published in the autumn of 2022.

Who are the Old Masters of days gone by? Many lesser-known faces are introduced in text and image. And which New Heroes contributed to the modernization of the treasuries of the Binnenhof, which few ever get to see?
With collected works by Old Masters about Jacoba van Beieren, Amalia van Solms-Braunfels, Johan de Witt, Maria Stuart I, Elselina van Houweningen en koning Willem II.

Augmented Reality (AR)
This exhibition is the first Augmented Reality (AR) in the Atrium of the City Hall in The Hague. AR occurs when an extra layer of information about reality is added digitally. This can be done by projecting images onto spectacle lenses, but often AR is simply shown on a screen. This can be done, for example, on a smartphone or on a television.
Visitors of this exhibition can download the app when they view the two large panels in the Atrium. After that, they can visit the virtual exhibition which consists of two parts: Old Masters and New Heroes. Every part consists of six virtual spaces in artworks that are given after the visitor have scanned a special code on the panels with their smartphone or tablet.
The app is available via the Apple Store or the Google Play Store under the name 'De Kunst van Het Binnenhof'. We recommend installing the app on a smartphone or tablet prior to coming to this exhibition. In the app you can choose between 'Old Masters' and 'New Heroes'. To view the 'Old Masters', scan the markings on the red panels in the Atrium The Hague. The 'New Heroes' will become visible when scanning the markers on the blue panels. It is best to install the app in advance via WIFI. From 1 September 2022, the secure WiFi network Publicroam can be used in the Atrium The Hague. The instructions of this free WIFI network can be found on www.publicroam.nl.

The exhibition opens during The Hague UIT Festival, is on display throughout September and also runs parallel to Open Monument Day, Prinsjesdag, Prinsjesfestival en Royal The Hague.
Document for a Monument
The production is by Document for a Monument. They collect all kinds of insights and ideas about the past, the users and the future of the Binnenhof – in words, images and sound – and takes that harvest, together with an up-to-date description of the renovation, along with various multimedia connections.
UIT Festival in the Atrium
Sunday september 4 from 12:00 until 17:00 hours is the first day that visitors can experience this AR exhibition during the UIT Festival in the Atrium.
