WHY THIS COVER PHOTO?
As the oldest venue in the state, Springwater has seen it all. It was opened in 1896, one year before the Parthenon right across the street in Centennial Park. Al Capone and Jimmy Hoffa were known to frequent this place, songwriter Duffy Young spent many nights asleep on the pool table, Townes Van Zandt used to sleep in a van in the parking lot. Countless historic artists have graced this stage, including:
