IMPORTANT NOTE ON OUR CORE VALUES: By participating in our auditions…
**You are agreeing to commit your child to the class’s production and schedule. At Stage Center’s SoPA we believe that a good process begets a good product. Roles will be assigned only after the formal enrollment process is complete. We do not cast based on seniority within the company, nor do we pre-cast any role on student productions. All students interested in our production classes are taught to show up with open minds and hearts, eager to have a life-enriching experience. We are not interested in working with students and families who are only seeking leading or featured roles. We teach that theater is about an ensemble coming together to tell a story, and every person involved has a vital role for it’s success. We allow each student to submit two absences during contract provided they are approved on or before the deadline, and do not fall within two weeks of performances, OR the audition and cast meeting. We ask that you check below for dates and times before auditioning, so that the rehearsal schedule can be thoughtfully made with no last-minute hiccups/absences. If you are unsure about some conflicts with our schedule, please feel free to ask us so we can help you decide if it’s realistically something you have the time to make such a big commitment. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED TO STUDENTS WHO WITHDRAW AFTER COMPLETING ENROLLMENT. A $30.00 late fee will be added to any invoice not paid by the due date.
A detailed schedule/call sheet will be issued no later than Friday, March 6.
Two conflicts are allowed during contract only if submitted by the deadline of Monday, March 9, and with the following caveats…
NO CONFLICTS are allowed for the audition, cast meeting, or within two weeks of performances (this includes May 21 & 23 thru May 31.) Students will not be cast or participate in scenes/songs/dances that are taught on days that they have submitted a conflict. We encourage you to check the rehearsal schedule BEFORE sending in conflicts so you know what you would be missing.
