WIT Nashville is thrilled to announce that our fall production is "What the Constitution Means to Me," by Heidi Schreck, directed by Abby Waddoups. Nominated for two Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize finalist in Drama, Schreck’s boundary-breaking show breathes new life into our Constitution and examines how this living document could evolve to fit modern America. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the U.S. In this hilarious, hopeful, and achingly human play, she resurrects her teenage self to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.
Auditions 9/22 and 9/23. Performances 11/8-11/16. All roles open. Non-equity. Stipend provided. Cold reading and video submissions.
