Audition Information: A drama for 2 men and 2 women.
The two rooms of the title are a windowless cubicle in Beirut where an American hostage is being held by Arab terrorists and a room in his home in the United States, which his wife has stripped of furniture so that, at least symbolically, she can share his ordeal. In fact the same room serves for both and is also the locale for imaginary conversations between the hostage and his wife, plus the setting for the real talks she has with a reporter and a State Department official.

Laini Wells. ………………educator , married to Michael, 30’s early 40’s
Walker Harris. …………., reporter
Ellen Van Oss ……………representative of the State Department, preferably over 45 (thinking of retirement)
AUDITION DATES: Wednesday 26th November and Thursday 27th November at 7:00pm at the Bailey Studio.
Sides will be available on Nanaimo Theatre Group Website before the auditions date for you to check out. Please arrive 7:00pm so actors can be mixed around and paired in several combinations.
Come try out for our final show and entry into the Theatre BC North Island Zone. The play will run from 22nd April to 10th May . This will be quickly followed by a performance at the North Island Zone Festival which is being held at the Bailey Studio in Nanaimo. If selected the play could be scheduled to be performed in Vernon at Theatre BC MainStage which runs from 4th July to 11th July. All involved must be available for these dates.
