AUDITIONS
Sunday, November 3 from 6pm-9pm
Note: Full Season Auditions will be held Sunday, November 3 from 12pm-4pm for anyone wishing to audition for the full season of Cue Zero productions!
Actors wishing to submit a video audition must do so before 6pm on Sunday, 11/3, and must be available for in-person callbacks.
Video submissions may be sent to [email protected].
Callbacks will be held Sunday, November 10 from 5pm-8pm.
Rehearsals will be held Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 6pm-9pm, with potential for extended times leading into tech week, Saturday, 2/22 through Thursday, 2/27.
All actors cast in the production are expected to be in attendance for ALL tech week rehearsals and performances, and no more than 3-4 missed rehearsals will be allowed. All conflicts must be submitted in writing on the date of your audition. There will be no rehearsal held on Christmas or New Year’s Eve/Day.
Auditionees should come prepared to perform 32 bars (up to one minute) of a song in the style of the show, but not from the show. We strongly encourage you to choose a song that shows your vocal and emotional range, and that embodies the character(s) for which you are auditioning.
An accompanist will be provided. All actors must provide printed, double-sided sheet music in the key in which they will be performing, inserted in a hardcover binder or on a digital screen at least as large as a tablet. If you’ll be starting the song somewhere other than the beginning, please mark your start and end prior to arrival at auditions.
All actors will be asked upon arrival to provide information regarding their vocal range, preferred characters, conflicts, special skills, dance ability, and prior roles. If you have a resume and headshot, please provide at least one copy to the production team upon arrival.
A breakdown of characters, vocal ranges, and age ranges are provided below. Note: Gender and age descriptors are only a guideline, and actors of all backgrounds, races, genders, ages, and abilities are strongly encouraged to audition.
IMPORTANT: This show features content that may be troubling or difficult for some viewers and actors. In addition to implied sexual acts and violence, there are themes of mental illness, murder, rape, drug abuse, assault, and alcoholism. While the team will employ both an Intimacy Director and a Fight Choreographer, we ask that all auditionees take these requirements into consideration before auditioning for the show, and be fully open and honest in what they are and aren’t comfortable with when filling out the audition form.
Anyone wishing to audition can sign up for an audition slot and fill out the required audition forms below. Please note that only actors over the age of 18 will be considered for this production.
