The Burlington Players are delighted to announce auditions for the satirical comedy, The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse. Production dates are November 7 – November 22, 2025.

Director Dev Luthra and Assistant Director Gabbie Hatcher will hold auditions on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th from 7PM-10PM by appointment in one-hour blocks at the Burlington Players Park Playhouse, One Edgemere Ave in Burlington, MA.
Callbacks will be on Wednesday August 27th from 7PM-10PM.
The Thanksgiving Play follows four white professionals determined to create a politically correct First Thanksgiving play for Native American Heritage Month in schools.
Logan, the director, hires an actress named Alicia, believing she is Native American, to provide cultural authenticity. However, it is soon revealed that Alicia is actually white and only portrays Native American characters when not playing other ethnicities.
Without an authentic Native voice, Logan and her team – which includes her partner Jaxton, an earnest actor, and Caden, an enthusiastic history teacher – are forced to confront the complexities of privilege while adhering to historical accuracy and school district rules.
