Synopsis:
This festive play follows new schoolmaster Ichabod Crane as he arrives in Sleepy Hollow. He contends with ghost stories, winning the heart of the wealthy Katrina, and dealing with his rival for her affections Brom Bones. And of course, we can’t forget the appearance of one of the most famous ghosts in America, the Headless Horseman. This story is based off the short story by Washington Irving.
Characters:
Ichabod Crane - new schoolmaster, superstitious
Katrina Van Tassel - the daughter of Sleepy Hollow’s wealthiest farmer, object of Bones and Ichabod’d affection
Brom Bones - Sleepy Hollow’s bad boy, idolized by the other men and women in town
Yost - Bone’s side kick
Mr. Bantus Van Tassel - Katrina’s father, wealthy farmer
Widow Van Doorn - mysterious but good natured Sleepy Hollow resident, gossip
Greta - Katrina’s friend
Walter - friend of Yost
The Woman in White - Sleepy Hollow ghost
Captain Kidd - Sleepy Hollow ghost
