Auditions will be a cold reading from pre-selected sides.
Set in a time-bending, darkly comic world between Heaven and Hell, THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT reexamines the plight and fate of the New Testament’s most infamous and unexplained sinner. The play tells the story of a court case over the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot, using flashbacks to an imagined childhood, and lawyers who call for the testimonies of such witnesses as Mother Teresa, Caiaphas, Sigmund Freud, and Satan.
Be advised that the play features adult language and themes, including descriptions of mental torture, discriminatory language, death, violence, suicide, abortion, rape, as well as debates on faith and spirituality. Those auditioning must be 17 years of age or older.

Fabiana Aziza Cunningham - deceased lawyer who defends Judas
Yusef El-Fayoumy - defends Heaven against Judas; Egyptian-Arabic accent
Judge Littlefield* - judge presiding over the trial of Judas
Bailiff* - tries to maintain order in the courtroom
Saint Thomas* - one of the twelve apostles
Saint Matthew* - one of the twelve apostles
Saint Peter* - one of the twelve apostles
Saint Monica* - North African Christian saint, looks into the case of Judas Iscariot
Satan - Lucifer, referred to as Lou
Judas Iscariot - betrayed Jesus Christ
Jesus of Nazareth - the Son of God, Jewish preacher, and religious leader
Mary Magdalene* - one of Jesus’ followers, witnessed the crucifixion and resurrection
Simon the Zealot* - one of the twelve apostles; formerly of the political party, the Zealots
Caiaphas the Elder* - the Jewish high priest during the years of Jesus’ ministry and organizer of the plot to K*ll Jesus
Pontius Pilate* - presided over the trial of Jesus and ordered his crucifixion
Matthias of Galilee* - chosen by God through the apostles to replace Judas
Sister Glenna* - Irish Catholic nun
Mother Teresa* - Catholic nun; known for her charity work but also her controversial views
Sigmund Freud* - Austrian neurologist and founder of psychoanalysis
Loretta* - jury member on Life Support
Uncle Pino* - Loretta’s drunk uncle
Gloria* - a woman with wings who gets to fly to Earth to watch her son, jury member
Henrietta Iscariot* - Judas’ mother who grieves his death
Butch Honeywell* - foreman of the jury, unsure if he is dead
3 Soldiers* - works for Pontius Pilate
