OPEN AUDITIONS. This is a sketch comedy-style show (think Saturday Night Live, but family-friendly and all holiday-themed!) We’re bringing back the audience’s two favorite sketches from last year’s show, plus a fresh crop of funny NEW sketches for 2025! From the writer/director who brought you A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Fully Monty, Taming of the Shrew, Lend Me a Tenor, and It’s a Wonderful Carol, Actually.

Red Octopus Theatre Company encourages any/all in the community who may be interested in theatre to join us for auditions, as we love to see new talent and welcome new folks to our stages. Our auditions are open to all, because we want to see our coastal theatre community grow! Please arrive on time and let the attendant know if you will need to leave early. Callbacks are by invitation only.

Most characters we encounter currently are on the binary and are written with he/him or she/her pronouns, and you will see that in the descriptions we provide. But however limiting the descriptions are, our casting seeks to be as inclusive as possible, and we invite gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, and non-binary actors to submit for the roles they most identify with. We will also list race/ethnicity when specific to the character, but are otherwise seeking all races and ethnicities.
