Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script - no preparation necessary! Actresses and actors of ALL AGES are encouraged to audition! The show will run weekends June 14-30. Director Jesirae Kesler is looking to cast 5 funny women and 1 - 2 men for Bo Wilson's surprisingly intriguing and poignant piece, The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church. In this new comedy, the ladies of The Charitable Sisterhood have gathered to organize a benefit for homeless Guatemalans, but they turn up a much more urgent problem right here at home. In the tradition of comedies like “Steel Magnolias” and “Crimes of the Heart,” the women of the Sisterhood are fun, familiar and fresh.
Cast of Characters:
Tina Yates - “40s. Originally from Walbrook, just outside Baltimore. Enjoys her role as the local Yankee.”
Lorraine Jensen - “40s. She’s lived here all her life. She has nine children, at last count.”
Bea Littleton - “late 40s to early 50s. The wife of Pastor Hiram Littleton and happy to let you know it.”
Janet Murchison - “30s. Attractive, cultured, newly arrived from Georgia and still settling in.”
Riley Reynolds - “Late 20s. We’ll get her story in a bit.”
Radio Announcer (VO) – Male. May double with deputy. This voice-over role will be prerecorded.
