About the Show:
Straight White Men is a bold, dark comedy that cracks open the box of identity, privilege, and family. Set during a Christmas reunion, three brothers and their dad don’t just unwrap gifts…they unravel decades of expectations, pressure, and awkward truths. It’s hilarious, tense, and full of uncomfortable eye contact.
Casting Breakdown:
• Ed: The father. Late 60s–70s. Pragmatic with a nostalgic streak.
• Matt: Eldest son. 40s. Smart, well-meaning, and adrift.
• Jake: Middle son. Late 30s–early 40s. Cocky on the surface, conflicted beneath.
• Drew: Youngest son. Mid 30s–early 40s. Academic, artistic, deeply introspective.
• Stagehands/Narrators (Any gender, any race, any age): Exist outside the world of the family, guide the audience, and stir the pot.
PACA welcomes all actors to audition. The play investigates white male privilege, but the production values diverse voices and perspectives in telling the story.

• Cold readings from the script — no need to prepare a monologue.
• Just show up and fill out the audition form, or fill it out in advance when it is available online…which will be soon!
