AUDITIONS: Staged reading of "R.U.R" by Karl Capek (Rossum's Universal Robots) directed by Heidi Fagan. This production will be scheduled for October 17-19 at the Town Hall in Charlestown, times TBA. While there is the potential for a full on production, at this time we are going forward with a reading of it (script in hand) in costume. Roles are available for 8-10 adult men and 4 women. This play is about the conquest of robots over the men who built them, and the peril of the world under their takeover.
Auditions will be held Wed. Sept. 3 & Friday Sept. 5 from 5-7 PM. If you are unable to make either of these times, please PM Heidi to arrange a time. Rehearsals would be scheduled one or two times a week built around people's schedules. Email [email protected] for audition sides and forms. They will also be available for walk-ins. First time actors are always welcome!
This is a strange play, eerie and a different type of "chilling" story for the fall and despite being over a hundred years old, has more relevance now than ever!
