Cattle Call auditions for the Erie Playhouse production of MEAN GIRLS will be held on November 18 and 19 at 6:30 pm at the Erie Playhouse Rehearsal Hall at 1158 East 12th Street. MEAN GIRLS will be on stage January 30 - February 15, 2026.

Actors are asked to arrive and to sign in within the first hour of the audition start time. All roles are available. The Erie Playhouse practices Color Conscious casting. All ethnicities and newcomers are especially welcomed. Crew and other volunteers are also needed for these events. Audition Requirements: Please prepare to sing a brief (32 measures) musical theatre song or similar style of your choosing. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key or a karaoke track.. An accompanist will be provided. Also prepare a brief monologue no longer a do than 1 ½ minutes. There will be a dance audition as well so wear appropriate footwear and clothes you can move in.
Synopsis: Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.
