About the Show
Get ready to “move it, move it!” with Madagascar Jr., a wild and hilarious musical adventure based on the hit DreamWorks animated film. Performed by PAA’s PRIME! Theatre Group (Grades 1–4), this show follows four unlikely friends — Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe — as they escape from New York’s Central Park Zoo and embark on a journey to the island of Madagascar.
Packed with upbeat songs, big laughs, and colorful characters, Madagascar Jr. is perfect for young performers and families alike. This confidence-building production encourages teamwork, creativity, and imagination — the heart of what makes The Performing Arts Academy in Middletown, Ohio such a special place for kids to shine.
🎭 Audition Details
No prior experience is required! Just enthusiasm and a love for performing! Students in grades 1–4 will audition with others their age in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Auditions include:
-Short group activities and movement
-Reading and singing from the show (materials provided)
