There’s no such thing as a secret in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, a small town exactly halfway between the equator and the North Pole. Vi, Rita, Mary Ellen, and Janine are very close friends and they know everybody’s business. But when Sean, a heartbroken doctor from Toronto, moves in to take a temporary job at the clinic, it tips the town off its axis.
Auditions:
▪ book in advance for Wed, May 22th 7:00pm – 9:30pm or Sun, May 26th 7:00pm – 9:30pm
▪ Call Back date (if needed): Mon May 27th at 7:00pm
Roles:
Ages listed reflect how the character should appear onstage, not necessarily the age of the actor
Janine Babineau - Female Identifying. Mid to late 30s Vi- Female Identifying. Mid 40-60s
Rita- Female Identifying. Mid 40-60s
Mary Ellen- Female Identifying. Mid 40-60s
Sean Merrit - Male Identifying. Late 30s- 40s
Audition Information:
• Auditions are to be booked in advance through the producer and actors will be required for the duration of the evening
• Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
• Familiarize yourself with the script in advance if possible
• To obtain a copy of the script please contact the Producer. There is a $20 deposit which is refunded upon return of the script in good condition
Miscellaneous Information:
• Arrive early (6:45pm) to complete an audition form prior to the audition
• If you need to cancel or will be late for the audition, please email or call the Producer
• Please bring your calendar with you.
• Rehearsals will commence July 2 and take place 3 times a week. (2 weekdays and either Sat. or Sunday. Dates are negotiable based on cast availability)
The Curtain Club is a non-profit, non-equity community theatre group. If you are cast in this show you MUST become a member of The Curtain Club. Membership fees are $20.00 and are due no later than the first rehearsal.
