📣 CALLING ALL SINGERS, DANCERS, ACTORS, PUPPETEERS, STORYTELLERS, POETS, MUSICIANS, DRAG ARTISTS, AND PERFORMING ARTISTS: We have a cabaret coming up, and we want you to join our cast! 📣
Now introducing… “Gender? I Hardly Know Her!” A MISCAST Cabaret Variety Show!!!

Do you have an act that you’ve always wanted to do, but those pesky genders have gotten in the way?
Are you a male-presenting singer who has always wanted to belt out, “Popular” from Wicked? Are you a female-presenting actor who has always wanted to take on the iconic role of Hamlet? Do you have a story or poem that challenges or comments on gender norms and societal views? We would LOVE TO HAVE YOU!
Come perform the acts you’ve always dreamed of at our show! 🤩
This show will be performed on Friday, June 13th at The Bird and The Book. Please note this is a ONE-NIGHT performance!
Auditions will be from 7:00-9:00 PM on Friday, May 2nd at the First Baptist Church of Maryville (202 W Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37801)
(There is only ONE scheduled audition date, but we are accepting video submissions if you are unable to make it on that day!)
Please prepare 60-90 seconds of your act for auditions. What you audition with does NOT have to be what you want your final performance to be! Your audition piece does not need to memorized. Performers can expect 2-3 rehearsals with our directing team to cultivate and finalize your act.

Did we mention we have some absolutely ICONIC plans for our opening and closing group numbers?! We will need a small ensemble for these as well!
