Auditions for THE EDGAR ALLAN POE AFTERLIFE SHOW

The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show is a darkly comedic radio drama where the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe hosts a supernatural, yet hilarious, radio broadcast from beyond the grave, taking the audience back to the days when they were attached to their radios rather than their devices. Joined by an eccentric cast of spectral guests, Poe navigates the afterlife while exploring eerie tales, poetic musings, and absurdly macabre interviews. Each episode blends gothic horror with satire, paying a hysterical homage to Poe’s legacy while twisting classic tropes with modern humor. As the show unfolds, Poe grapples with his own unfinished business and the strange bureaucracy of the afterworld. The result is a witty, haunting, and unexpectedly hilarious journey through literature, death, and the unknown.

Tuesday, February 25 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM & Wednesday, February 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM

NOTE: Actors must attend at least one of the days to be cast.

We will be casting an ensemble of actors to play one or more roles. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. They will occur in person in the Studio Theatre (PAC 119) in the Performing Arts Center. Students must make an appointment in Eventbrite and complete the Audition Form. Please make sure to provide a correct email address in the form to ensure an appointment confirmation.

• Mondays, Tuesday, & Wednesdays from 4:00 to 7:30 PM
• Thursdays from 5:00 to 8:30 PM

• Final Tech-Dress/Preview: Thursday, April 24 @ 7:30 PM
• Performances: Friday, April 25 @ 7:30 PM
• Matinee Performance: Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 @ 3:00 PM
