Audition for one of That Theatre Company's best-selling original shows, "Snow Elf Saves Christmas". Written and directed by Blake Hogue, this hilarious R-rated comedy has been updated for this 2025 production.Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 21st at the Rochester Repertory Theatre, 103 7th St NE, Rochester, MN 55906.
Actors should arrive by 7pm to fill out audition materials and then be paired up with other actors to cold read scenes from the show. Resumes and/or headshots are always welcome but not required!
Rehearsals and performances will be in the black box theatre at the Rochester Civic Theatre.
Rehearsals run Nov 2nd-Dec 4th; Sundays from 1-3:30pm and Mondays-Thursdays from 7-9:30pm.
Performances are Dec 5-6, 11-13, & 18-20 @7:30pm and Dec 7 & 14 @2pm.
All actors are paid a stipend.
Role to be cast:
Gabby: 20's-30's, a playful, sarcastic wife who's an extreme extrovert living for the chaos.
Presley: 20's-30's, a sensitive, loving dork of a husband just waiting to finally snap.
Snowberry Snuggleboots: 20-50's, A high energy, earnest female Shelf Elf doll come to life. The heroine of our story.
Hotdog Ron: 20-50's, a sloppy, smartass, and secretly romantic male Shelf Elf doll come to life.
Twinkle Winks: 20-50's, a manic, sinister male Shelf Elf doll come to life. The villain of our story.
Actors should also prepare 30 seconds of a Christmas song to sing, as this show is a jukebox "musical" with several Christmas songs with changed lyrics to fit the show. You don't have to be a great singer, just a confident one. All songs are comedic.
