Audition Dates
*Friday, February 7, 2025; sign in begins at 6:30 pm with auditions starting at 7 pm.
*Saturday, February 8, 2025; sign in begins at 12 pm with auditions starting at 12:30 pm
*You only need to attend one of these sessions.
*Callbacks, by invite only, will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm
*Please note that these auditions are an open call for adults and children. This production seeks to cast 1 child, age 6 to 10, in the role of Theo. All other roles will be cast with performers that are 18 or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at auditions.

What to Prepare for Auditions
*Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of music from a Broadway show - ideally in a style similar to the show. Singing from the show is welcome, but not required.
*An accompanist will be provided so please have sheet music in the correct key.
*Dance call. Bring or wear clothes and shoes you can move in.
*Please familiarize yourself with the dance call before your audition. We will be reviewing the dance at auditions, as well, but for us to truly be able to see everyone’s technique and skill we are asking everyone to do their best to learn the call beforehand. Dance Call Video:

Rehearsal Dates
*Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, 7 pm-10 pm, and on Sunday afternoons 2:00 pm-5:00 pm.
*Please note rehearsal times are subject to change based on cast/crew availability.
*Full cast read-through will take place either February 23, 2025 at 5:30 pm
*Rehearsals will begin Monday, February 24, 2025.

Characters
The age and gender identity of the characters listed below are provided as a guideline and do not necessarily need to match the age or gender identity of the actor. We encourage actors of all backgrounds to consider these roles and bring their unique perspectives to the characters.
Leading Player
The ultimate 'ring leader.' Masterfully charming and manipulative, the Leading Player is a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through his own story and tries to intervene at the end. excellent dancer. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience.
Gender: any Age: 18+
Pippin
An “Everyman.” Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo. The actor cast as Pippin will be kept under wraps as much as possible until performances.
Gender: male-identifying, non-binary Age: 18 to 25
Charles
Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride.
Gender: male-identifying Age: 50 to 60
Lewis
Pippin's half-brother.
Gender: male-identifying Age: 18 to 25
Fastrada
Pippin's conniving stepmother. A seductress, who is no stranger to deceit and betrayal, she is both sexy and smart. Skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit her and her son.
Gender: female-identifying, non-binary Age: 25 to 45
Berthe
Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy broad full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest.
Gender: female-identifying, non-binary Age: 60+
Catherine
A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him.
Gender: female-identifying Age: 20 to 30
Theo
Catherine's son.
Gender: male-identifying Age: 6 to 10
