Monkey Noodle Theatrics is casting for their upcoming original musical, What I’ve Created. This is a devised production where you’ll be part of shaping the script and music.
Auditions:
🗓️ October 17 & 18
⏰ 6pm-9pm (30 minute slots)
🎵 Prepare: 16-32 bars of music and a short, contemporary monologue (1 minute max)

Jessi (35ish, this role has been cast): A lonely data analyst yearning to be a social media star.

What I’ve Created is a contemporary musical that delves into the lives of two women from different worlds who are unexpectedly brought together by a viral social media contest. Ashlyn, a Gen Z star influencer, and Jessi, a millennial data analyst in her mid-thirties, find themselves on a shared journey that unearths the pressures of living in an age defined by digital perfection. As they navigate the spotlight and societal expectations, the show shines a light on the harmful narratives surrounding beauty, success, and identity perpetuated by social media.
What I’ve Created explores our internal struggles with constant scrutiny—from body image and generational pressures to conform, to the toll of living under the gaze of social media—ultimately revealing the impact of false personas and the search for self-acceptance in a world obsessed with appearances.
