You are cordially invited to audition for our first staged reading of the 2026 season, Love Letters by A.R. Gurney! Directed by Libby Prendergast.A Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama, Love Letters is a two-hander about two lifelong friends and the letters they exchange. Andrew and Melissa, both born into wealth and position, begin their correspondence in childhood with birthday party thank-you notes. Their letters continue through their boarding school and college years while they are romantically attached and later through their individual marriages and careers. This bittersweet and intimate play is frequently staged with rotating casts and requires just two actors, the letters and a table.
Seeking one adult man and one adult woman for the roles of Andrew & Melissa.
Auditions will be held at Homewood Library on Tuesday, February 17 at 6:30pm. More specifics on which room will be provided soon.
The performance will be held at The Dance Foundation (1715 27th Ct S, Homewood, AL 35209) on Sunday, March 8 at 2:30pm. Rehearsals will be relaxed and based upon conflicts supplied.
