Encounters is a full-length play made up of standalone scenes. It was our winning staged reading during the 2025 Portland Pride Play Festival. This time it’s being staged in full at Fertile Ground's New Works Festival.
We're looking for somewhere between four and eight actors. Most folx will be playing more than one role. Third Eye Theatre is an entirely volunteer-run company and all roles are unpaid.

In two minutes or less, please show us a contemporary monologue or performance that shows your range and highlights a shift in tone or emotion.
In-Person Auditions & Callbacks (for video submissions) will be held in person at 500 NE Multnomah Street on January 25 from 2 to 5 PM.
If you send a video and want to be considered, make sure you're free.
REHEARSALS + SHOW DATES
Rehearsals start early February in SE Portland. Space and schedule are being finalized.
The show will run during Fertile Ground between April 11 and 13. Performances will be at Back Door Theatre on SE 39th and Hawthorne.
Tech Rehearsal: Tuesday, 4/7 5:30p-10p
Show #1: Saturday, 4/11 3p-5p
Show #2: Sunday, 4/12 12p-2p
Show #3: Monday, 4/13 7:30p-9:30p
WHO CAN AUDITION
Anyone 18 or older.
If you have access needs we should know about, let us know when you email. We will do everything in our power to eliminate any barriers you may have to auditioning.
