SYNOPSIS
Disney’s Moana JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage. Moana JR. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”
This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.
PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS
Auditions are open to the community for children ages 6-17.
AUDITIONS DETAILS: It is recommended that children are familiar with the Disney Moana JR. show music (not the Disney movie) prior to auditions.
1. Music Audition- Our Music Director will teach a short selection from the show. Talent should be prepared to learn and sing the piece by yourself if asked to. Be willing to learn and have fun with it!
2. Dance Audition- Our Choreographer will teach a short dance combination. Talent should be prepared to learn in a large group and then perform the combination in a smaller group. We expect to see dancers of all skill levels. Give it your best and sell it!
WHAT TO WEAR: First impressions are important. Clothing should be comfortable. We want to see how you look on stage at your best. Dance shoes are recommended. You can change shoes between vocal and dance auditions.
WHAT TO BRING:
1. List of Conflicts- NO SHOWS or Tech Week Rehearsals can be missed. Conflicts will be taken into consideration during casting consideration. Be honest. Conflicts brought up after casting can result in dismissal from the cast or recasting. This is at the discretion of the production team.

4. Smile and positive attitude!
Doors open half an hour prior to the stated audition time. Please plan to be at auditions at least 15 minutes before they start. Please note; everyone can only audition one night. There may, however, be a chance for callbacks. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, please do not attend if you are feeling ill and please continue to practice safe, practical social distancing guidelines and hygiene practices.
