Hey, Indy dancers!Crossroads is excited to announce auditions for our January 2025 performance at Arts For Lawrence! This year, music is our inspiration and each piece will feature a particular style of music, artist, or inspiration.
- AUDITION DATE: July 29
- AUDITION TIME: 6:15pm (space will open early warm up; please arrive early to fill out forms and bring your calendars)
- AUDITION LOCATION: Dance Creations Academy (9257 Castlegate Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46256)
- COST: $0/audition (there is a project-based dancer due if chosen to participate)
- AGE: 21 and over
- EXPERIENCE: Geared towards intermediate/advanced dancers, but all experience levels encouraged to attend!
- SHOW DATES: January 25 & 26.
The audition will include a guided warm-up and choreographer-led combinations based on ballet, modern, and jazz movement phrases as well as improv.
CDI is a 501c(3) Indianapolis dance collective with a focus on community and collaboration. We rehearse primarily on Mondays from 6-10pm at Dance Creations Academy. If Mondays do not work well for you, we have the potential for other rehearsal days/times so we encourage you to audition anyway!
If you are cast and choose to participate in this opportunity, we ask that you attend our Monday technique classes (we will make the appropriate exceptions if needed). Rehearsal attendance is required for all pieces in which you are cast. We do our best to accommodate absences as we are able, but attendance is a priority.
Note: Our show is family-friendly, but audition is for ages 21 and over only. Crossroads Dance Indy does not have a vaccination policy, though we are required to adhere to policies set forth by performance venues. CDI will update dancers as policies may change.
