• Thursday, April 25th 7:30-9:30pm
All actors should plan to arrive by 7:30 and stay for the full two hours.

? WHAT TO PREPARE AND EXPECT FOR AUDITIONS ?

• Please come prepared to perform a one-minute-ish comic anything - it can be Shakespeare, or Key & Peele, or reading the ingredients of a Twinkie package and then stuffing it in your mouth
• We will also read some scenes together, both from Shakespeare and not

Fri & Sat shows will be in the evening, Sunday shows will be matinees
MANDATORY dates include August 5-15th and all show dates

• No previous theatrical experience (Shakespeare or otherwise) is required to audition
• Actors will not be restricted to various roles based on traditional ages, genders, and/or races assigned to the characters
• The script has been streamlined from the original length in order to make the story more digestible
• Rehearsals and performances will be at the Marigold Community Space in downtown Ypsilanti
• All positions are unpaid and there is no cast participation fee

ANNE - Daughter of the Pages. Very eligible.
BARDOLPH - Denizen of the Garter Bar in Pasadena.
CAIUS - French doctor. Sweet on Anne.
FALSTAFF - Former soap star. Denizen of the Garter Bar in Pasadena.
FENTON - Geometry teacher. Sweet on Anne.
FORD - Successful realtor. Husband to Alice.
HUGH - Pastor. Not an American.
NYM - Denizen of the Garter Bar in Pasadena.
PAGE - Owner of a head shop. Husband to Peg. Father to Anne.
PEG - Macrame magnate. Wife to Page. Mother to Anne.
QUICKLY - Caius’ housewoman.
ROBIN - Falstaff’s PA.
SHALLOW - Entertainment lawyer.
SLENDER - Best boy grip. Nephew to Shallow. Sweet on Anne.
TEARSHEET - Keeper of the Garter Bar in Pasadena.
**Brevity Shakespeare is a newer theater company in Ypsilanti that is dedicated to making Shakespeare accessible for all. We are committed to ensuring that shows aren’t only told by old, white dudes, but instead are better reflective of our community at large (which still includes older white men). Our three previous productions are “Hamlet,” “As You Like It,” and “Richard III.”**
