The CrazyLake Acting Company will hold auditions for its summer musical production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6 in the Dungeon at 98 E. North St. in Greenfield.Auditioners should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and prepare 30-60 seconds of a song to sing a cappella. No audition monologues are required. The first half of the audition will be choreography and vocal auditions and the second half will be reading from the script.
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” is a fictional competition between six quirky middle school students who sing about their home lives, their hopes and dreams and their fears in between rounds of the spelling bee. The cast is rounded out by school personnel and members of the spellers’ families. Parts are available for six males, five females and one that can be either. Parts are available for males and females aged 18 and over.
