The Alpha Players of Florissant will be holding non-Equity auditions for "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten."WHAT: "Kindergarten" Auditions

"All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" is a comedy based on the books by Robert Fulghum. It was conceived and adapted by Ernest Zulia.
Kindergarten takes a funny, insightful and touching look at what is profund in everyday life. It is an evening of theatrical storytelling that celebrates our very existence, from the innocence of childhood to the wisdom of old age.
There are roles for 3 men, 2 women and 1 pianist.
The five actors should have strong comedic and dramatic skills, as well as a natural storytelling ability. The cast present the stories as if they were occurrences out of their own lives. The ages of the characters identified below are appropriate to the material assigned to each, and the age range is extremely valuable to the resonance of the material.
CHARACTER LIST
Fred (50s to 60s) - Educated, paternal, witty and a bit of a curmudgeon.
Ed (40s to 50s) - Acerbic and wry; also able to exhibit a warm/romantic side. An excellent comedian with dramatic substance.
Branislav (30s to 40s) - Idealistic, passionate. He is very funny, intelligent, with his own brand of sarcasm.
Jill (30s to 40s) - Warm, versatile and funny. Self-confident, with a true spark of life and a sense of irony. Possesses great depth.
Kathleen (50s to 60s) - Urbane and warm, with an air of wisdom from knowing how to live a full life. Has a real depth of character as well as a great sens of humor.
Narrator/Pianist (any age) - Friendly and charming, with a droll sense of humor. Conveys perspective that comes from intelligence and maturity.
