The partnership between a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent is based upon telling the toughest stories and, together, making a difference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life. “Crackles with bright wit and intelligence.” (NYT)
REHEARSALS: Begin late December, with a break between Jan 3-9, then continuing until tech week Feb. 2-5, 2026.
PERFORMANCES: Feb. 6 at 7:30pm, Feb.7 at 2:30 and 7:30pm, Feb. 8 at 2:30pm
Seeking:
SARAH (Early 40s): Renowned American photojournalist, injured by a roadside bomb. She struggles to reconcile her dangerous career with the idea of a more conventional life at home.
JAMES (Early 40s): Journalist and Sarah's partner. James begins to question whether he’d rather have a simpler, more traditional lifestyle away from the dangers of war.
RICHARD (Mid-50s): Photo editor at a news magazine as well as Sarah's mentor, former lover, and friend. He introduces the couple to his new relationship with Mandy, a woman half his age. Pragmatic and realistic.
MANDY (Mid-20s): Well-meaning and compassionate she’s a bit naïve, with much less lived experience than the others. Mandy questions the heart-wrenching careers of James and Sarah, baffled by the emotional separation they must. Fervently in love with Richard.
