“Evening with the Stars, Jr.,” next up in the 2024-25 House Blend Concert Series, is Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Angel Hardaway directs this spin-off of the audience favorite. Although this is her first solo directorial credit for AACA, she’s no stranger to leadership roles in the community, church, and on stage. Hardaway is an award-winning Athens City Intermediate School principal and local singer. She sings alto in her family group, Heiress, along with her sisters and close friend Joshua Bragg. Together, they serve on the worship team at Olivet Nation in Chattanooga, TN. They have also been part of numerous live recordings, studio sessions, and have even served many times as wedding singers! Angel has performed in several House Blend shows, such as “Sisters,” co-directed “Teachers Got Talent," and performed and music-directed Athens Community Theatre’s production “Hot Comb, Honey?”
“Evening with the Stars, Jr.” is an auditioned variety show that highlights performers under the age of 18.
Those who plan to audition should be at The Arts Center ready to perform at 4:00 PM. A pianist will be available to play live accompaniment if needed. Please bring sheet music, if you need the accompanist. Audio accompaniment tracks are also acceptable. A piano accompanist and guitarist will be on stage during rehearsals (Monday, March 24 and Thursday, March 27, both at 6:00 PM) and during the show, to back-up solo acts.
