THE ROLES:
BERNARD: 20s–30s. Charming, confident, and very sure of himself — until he isn’t. Bernard prides himself on having everything under control and watching that confidence unravel is at the heart of the comedy. A strong comedic lead with lots of energy.
ROBERT: 20s–30s. Bernard’s longtime friend. Kind, slightly overwhelmed, and often in over his head. Robert means well and tries to help, even when things get worse. A relatable, likeable role with great comic reactions.
BERTHE: Any age. Bernard’s housekeeper. Practical, observant, and not easily impressed. Berthe has seen it all and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. A fan-favorite role with wonderful comic timing and presence. (French dialect required for performance)
GLORIA: 20s–30s. An American flight attendant. Confident, straightforward, and independent. Gloria is comfortable taking the lead and expects honesty — which makes her especially hard to distract when things don’t add up
GABRIELLA: 20s–30s. An Italian flight attendant. Warm, expressive, and romantic. Gabriella wears her heart on her sleeve and brings big feelings — and big energy — into the room. (Italian dialect required for performance)
GRETCHEN: 20s—30s. A German flight attendant. Smart, efficient, and composed. Gretchen values order and logic, which makes the chaos around her especially frustrating — and funny. (German dialect required for performance)
THE STORY: One of the most successful comedies in theatre history, Boeing Boeing is a fast-paced romantic farce full of mistaken timing, slamming doors, and escalating surprises. Set in 1960s Paris, the play follows Bernard, a confident bachelor whose life runs like clockwork — including his romantic life. Thanks to a carefully planned schedule, Bernard is engaged to three international flight attendants, each blissfully unaware of the others. But when airline schedules change and an old friend pays a visit, Bernard’s perfectly ordered world begins to spin out of control. What follows is a joyful whirlwind of near-misses, quick thinking, and comic chaos as everyone tries to keep up — and keep secrets — while the situation becomes increasingly impossible.
