This production will take place in person on the 3rd Act Theatre Stage in The Shoppes at Northpark.

In "A Small Fire" we meet Emily, who runs her own construction company and has been married for decades to her husband John, and their daughter’s wedding is fast approaching. Then Emily falls victim to a mysterious disease that strips away her senses and she is forced to rely on those around her, upending everyone's happy, middle-class lives. As she loses her ability to interact with the outside world, she discovers deep wells of feeling within herself for the people she loves.
"A Small Fire" is a bittersweet depiction of a couple navigating the unknowns of illness in this funny, heartbreaking, fresh, and deeply moving play.

John Bridges - Male-presenting, 60 (Emily's husband)
Jenny Bridges - Female-presenting, 30 (their daughter)
Billy Fontaine - Male-presenting, 41 (Construction manager in Emily's company)
Character NOTE: The actor playing Emily should be comfortable with dance and movement because Emily has to dance an "impromptu, wild, angry dance, a St. Vitus's dance; it is despairing, ecstatic, and exhausting".
Character Advisory: This production contains adult language and themes including intimacy, love, and family.

NOTE: Auditions will be in-person at the theatre (12040 N May Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73120 inside The Shoppes at Northpark), with in-person callbacks if necessary on a day and time to be determined.
Auditioners will read from provided sides from the script. Video auditions will be accepted from those who are unable to attend in person.
