AUDITION Announcement: Disney’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” Music by Alan Menken

We are excited to announce auditions for Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, to be presented July 10-12 and 17-19, 2026.
From the same creative team that brought multiple sold out shows of Fiddler on the Roof this past summer, this powerful and musically rich production features a large ensemble, sweeping choral writing, and complex principal roles. We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels!

AUDITION DATES:
Saturday, January 17 | 12:00–3:00 PM
Sunday, January 18 | 3:00–6:00 PM* (due to the Palabra Viva worship service upstairs, we will move to the downstairs rehearsal room in Emmett Hook around 4:30pm for the remainder of the auditions on this date)
CALLBACKS:
Saturday, January 24 | 12:00 PM
AUDITION LOCATION

*All Auditions and callbacks will take place onstage in the theater unless otherwise noted)
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Prepare 16–32 bars of a musical theatre song (traditional or contemporary), preferably in the style of the show
• Bring sheet music in the correct key (an accompanist will be provided)
• Prepare a brief monologue highlighting your acting abilities
• Some roles may require vocal range checks
• Dance/movement may be part of callbacks
Please bring a list of known schedule conflicts.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Based on Victor Hugo’s novel and the Disney animated film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant musical featuring one of the most ambitious choral scores in musical theatre. We will be partnering with community choirs from across the region to fill out this choral sound from the wings. No roles are pre-cast.
